Is Upper Apartments the best dorm at UCSD?

Students rated Upper Apartments a 3.8/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.

Although it's probably the point of the aesthetic, the Marshall Apartments gives me a very "backwards" feeling.

Quality obviously differs between single and double (or triple, tho I've never seen one in the apt), but its generally a solid building. Massive improvement over res halls. Sound from construction or band can be annoying. Walls are a bit thin.

The double room in the upper apartment is spacious. The location is a big plus as well, with many dining halls nearby and a convenient bus stop right outside.

Pros: it’s a much much intimate living space, meaning it’s less people to share with. There’s more privacy when it comes to using the kitchen, compared to that of a dorm. Cons: Kitchen is small, toilet & shower are in same room, kitchen right next to bedroom(scent travels).
