Is Tenaya Hall the best dorm at UCSD?

Students rated Tenaya Hall a 4/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.

I lived in Tenaya my freshman year (2018-19) in a triple on the 7th floor. The rooms are split up into suites and you all share a bathroom and sometimes a nerd box. Our bathroom had 2 showers, 2 stalls and 2 sinks for 12 people and honestly there was only like 1-2 times when they were occupied when I wanted to use the bathroom, so it was fine. (be nice to your cleaning ppl!) The nerd box was literally my favorite study spot and I miss it so much, it was a tiny room with a desk, chair and wall plug. There were only two vacuums for two floors, so it was hard to track down a lot of the time. One of the girls we lived with bought her own tiny vacuum and it was really helpful so 10/10 would recommend it. There was a laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers in every "house" (which is two floors) so it was hard to find them free to use at the beginning of the year. After a few weeks tho I cracked the code and most ppl did their laundry on the weekend so the prime days were Tue/Wed OR in the middle of the night when nobody was even awake lol. There's two elevators but they're kind of slow. 10/10 would also recommend getting a mini fridge for your room, it was super convenient! For food, Pines & Roots (vegan) are the dining halls. There was markets in every college but John's Market is closing this year :,( But there's also M.O.M. which is a cute cafe, only real money tho, no dining dollars. Other than that, Muir in general is pretty close to most places on campus. Hope this helps!
