Is Ryerson Hall the best dorm at UC Davis?

Big rooms with nice windows and lots of closet space. The location was great since it's near the dining halls, the gym, and to classes. The room isn't as new or modern as some of the other dorms, but it had everything it needed. The bathrooms weren't the best.

The rooms are all doubles or singles, and feel shockingly more spacious than you would think. Location-wise you are right next to the market and other places like Trader Joe's and Rite-Aid. The noise is fine almost always except for on weekends when baseball games are played across the street and you can't really sleep in (if you sleep in until noon). The biggest problem is the bathrooms. Some of the stalls are uncomfortably cramped and if someone starts throwing their food out there ants will come. Fortunately it gets cleaned every day but it can get annoying.

Loved the location, segundo is the best! The building itself was kinda old and not in the best condition, had some bugs and stuff. The bathrooms were also less appealing than other residence halls but the rooms are waaay bigger. My room was huge for a dorm. Only other complaint is the street gets pretty loud at night and windows were drafty and didn’t block loud cars outside the building

Clean, spacious, pretty much as good as it gets for a public college dorm. The bathrooms are cleaned daily so even though it can get gross at times, there’s not much to complain about. There’s an all-girls floor if you prefer a quieter experience. Loved studying in the common room lounge with friends.

I LOVED Ryerson hall, seriously my friends and I worshipped it. I loved the dining commons (Segundo is the best), the closeness to trader joes and frat row, and the amazing double dorms. The only reason I didn't give my dorm room a 5/5 was because it had a weird smell. But the main reason why I loved Ryerson so much was the people -- they tend to put the football players and socal kids in this dorm, which makes it such a good time.
