Kearney Hall Reviews
UC Davis
Reviews Summary
Kearney Hall, located in Tercero Square, is one of the older dorm buildings and is particularly popular among engineering and computer science students, thanks to the Engineering Living Learning Community (LLC) housed within it. While the amenities and facilities might lack the modern touch found in newer resident halls like Madrone, Kearney Hall offers a vibrant and social environment, with many students noting frequent dorm parties and the chance to form lasting friendships. However, residents should be prepared for smaller rooms and the absence of cooling, which contributes to its nickname "Corona Corner." The single water fountain on the first floor might be an inconvenience, but the strategic location for STEM students, offering a short walk to classes, compensates for it. Despite being somewhat overvalued for what it offers and the faint cow smell from across the street, many students find Kearney to be a welcoming and engaging community. Those seeking a lively, school-focused atmosphere will find it an ideal choice, particularly if they are in the engineering field.

Kearny is one of the older buildings in Tercero Square, therefore the facilities and amenities aren't the best compared to the newer resident halls such as Madrone, etc...

Sucks that there is only one water fountain located on the first floor. However Kearney is a great building in Tercero. The Engineering llc is way more lit than I would have expected. We had dorm parties all the time.

I would recommend the engineering living community to all engineering and cs students :) I made some of my best friends here and it seems that our hall was more social than other halls.

Not too bad of a dorm, but still criminally overpriced. I wish I didn’t stay in the dorms as a freshman.

I would really only recommend this dorm to engineering students. The vibe is definitely way more mellow than other buildings and the building itself is a bit dated. However, the location is great for STEM students; most of my classes were a short walk away. People here are very school focused but can honestly be pretty fun. Once you get over the cow smell from across the street, it's a pretty nice place to live. If you can't get over that ick factor, look for another place to live city slicker.

Welcome to Corona Corner. If you want to be in a dorm with zero cooling, small rooms, and subpar amenities, this is the place for you!
