Madrone Hall

"Loved living in Madrone. I was worried about having to live in a triple, but I found that I had more than enough space. The lounges are nice, especially the study room on the bottom floor, and I like the vending machine on the bottom floor (I get hungry at odd hours). The bathrooms were almost always clean, custodial did a great job, and I didn't often find myself having to wait to shower. Overall, the building is very well maintained." - 4 years ago

"Loved living in Campbell, right across the street from the cows which I thought I was going to hate because of the smell but honestly miss being able to pet them when I'm stressed out. Does not have a kitchen and some rooms have thermostats to control AC but most don't, the others that don't have central heating/cooling so you won't be burning in Davis heat or freezing during the rainy season. New building so the lounge area is really nice and lots of natural light" - 4 years ago

Cottonwood Hall

"As one of the newest dorms on campus, Cottonwood Hall is a great place to live. The rooms are relatively big, the lounges have big glass windows for natural light, and the showers are spacious. The AC/heater works well and internet connection was great (at least in my room). It's also at a super convenient location since it's right across from the dining commons and also close to the visitor parking lot. The only complaints are that it is a bit far from the ARC compared to Segundo halls and the smell of the cows can be a bit strong sometimes." - 4 years ago

Redwood Hall
based on 3 reviews
"Redwood Hall is the best dorm and has the best view. The 4th floor lounge has large windows for stunning natural lighting. The shorter wing and center of the building has a view of the gorgeous redwood trees behind the building. Redwood is super new and the bathrooms are always clean (thank you custodians!). Anyone I bring into my room wishes they were in Redwood instead. The location is perfect for biking to class and is very quiet. All the rooms and furniture in rooms and common areas are new and there aren't weird smells or dim lights like in the older dorms like Laben or Kearney. It is near Latitude as well (restaurant opened in 2020 that focuses on international cuisine and accepts swipes + Aggie cash). Redwood, Cottonwood, and Madrone (CMR) residentss have access to Olive Hall, a structure that has a beautiful kitchen and lounge area. CMR residents also have access to the game room in Cottonwood (Xbox, table tennis, music room)." - 4 years ago
