Is Stetson East the best dorm at Northeastern?
Students rated Stetson East a 3.8/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
Small room, but expected when you're a freshman. Having a dining hall in the building is nice when the weather sucks. Bathrooms are good, water pressure is great. Small room.
Wasn't bad, wasn't great. Proximity to other freshmen is great and helps foster a real sense of community. Although there's no AC, you don't really need it after mid-September because Boston fall/winter air helps keep the temperature nice and cool.
Rooms are small as hell but that’s to be expected, you get over it. common room on every other floor. SUPER chill to have the dining hall right downstairs. And tbh the reason I recommend stetson is that it has nicer bathrooms than the other dorms.
Everything about this dorm is average except its location. steasts location is so nice.. its close proximity to everything is nice.
Steast was a very traditional freshman dorm. It is by no means the best looking. I would often joke the inside resembles a prison. The rooms were small but that's easy to get used to. Most rooms are doubles, with a few singles. Bathrooms are communal but well cleaned. The even floors have common rooms which helped me get to know the people on my floor and where I had many strange late night chats. The odd floors have private study rooms which are a great resource when living with a roommate. Steast has an excellent location. The in-house dining hall was super handy, even as much as I complained about the food. One of the three main dining halls on campus is right next door, as well as Outtakes and Wollaston's which are great for late-night snacks. It is right across the street from the gym, and a maximum of ten minutes away from any class. Based on my conversations with other freshmen, it is perhaps one of the wildest freshman dorms on campus. But it was by no means crazy. I finished my freshman year with some fun stories to tell about my time in Steast but a surprising amount of fondness for the dorm.
