pretty much the only freshman dorm with AC so that's super nice. semi-private bathroom shared with the room next door. i got stuck with a triple in a pretty small room so it's relatively cramped but it's not unbearable. i've seen people in triples in EV with slightly bigger rooms than mine so it really depends on luck. my friend is in a double and got a corner room originally designed to be a single – it's super spacious and he has his own bathroom with a bathtub. overall, great location with close proximity to huntington where all the food/grocery stores are :)
Best place to live in bruh. I cant believe it is possible to stay here at an affordable price and serene view
Stay here for a couple of years not pricey compared to the quality but sometimes the noise just comes from nowhere.
East village doubles are definitely really nice. The private bathroom, the AC, the overall pretty nice building with classrooms on the first floor. The only thing I will say is that since they’re suite style, so you share it with two other people in a double that’s connected. It also mean the private bathroom in the middle has two locks for the two doubles and if someone forgets to unlock the one on your side when they lock both of them, well, it’s annoying sometimes. Also, if you don’t get along with them it can get awkward lol. But also, the walls are really really thin. I don’t have other experiences to compare them to other dorms but the doubles in East village basically don’t have walls. You can hear EVERYTHING in the next room and in ...
This was such an amazing dorm for freshman year. It’s the best freshman dorm on campus hands down. Perfect location, great common area, pristine building. The private bathroom is a plus, the only complaints that I had were the elevator line was sometimes very long/congested, but it depended on when you left/arrived.
East Village is a pretty nice dorm to live in freshman year. The rooms are really small, but you have your own bathroom which is nice. Just an FYI that it is only open to honors students, and you have to live there if you are in honors. Overall 9/10 experience living here.
I lived in the upperclassman apartments (Floors 13-16). 4 people per dorm but everybody has singles. Super nice, spacious living room and kitchen.
Spacious for a freshman double, new building, thermostat, private bathroom you share with 3 other suitemates, common rooms or laundry on each floor, vending machines, elevators. Biggest complaint is that the walls are very thin so you can often hear people next door, especially through the vents.
Not bad at all, a little far from the dining halls and most of my classes, but at least it's closer than the Midtown. Also the AC and suite style dorms are very nice and have just enough room for desks and everything. Just make sure you have some roommates/suitemates that will clean the bathroom every once in a while.
EV is great and the condition (as befitting a 5 year old building) is way better than you'll see in any of the other freshman dorms. Flex on em if you live here, since the only downside is that the central HVAC will circulate the smell of vape or weed through the whole building. Also the thermostats don't really work, you get the dry forced-air heating in the winter and you take it.
