Is 780 Columbus Ave the best dorm at Northeastern?

It really sucks to be on the Columbus side of campus. Perhaps it’s just me but even going to the grocery store is a hassle (I used to go to Tropical foods because it’s closer but then someone got stabbed in broad daylight on the relatively busy road and I was like not worth it). The room itself was nice enough but there are no common rooms or anything

Lived in a ground floor double with a friend. There wasn't really a bed configuration that put our heads further than 2 feet from one another, so be ready for that. Our room was quite long and skinny. Only lived there for 2 months over the summer, but I think I would have tired of it really quickly. Other than the room itself, the building is fine and the location is great (I prefer living on the Tremont side). Overall 3/5 it's a dorm.

Not bad for the price but no elevator and it gets pretty hot in the summer without any air conditioning.

Unbelievably high ceilings on the ground floor rooms, cannot speak for the rest. Conveniently next to ISEC and a corner store with a very nice old cat and shop owner, but far from everything else.

The natural light is my biggest issue, I live in a studio double where the windows are only in the living room and the bedroom is separated by a half wall. If I wasn't as close w my roommate, I would hate the studio aspect of it, there is no alone/quiet space that you miss out on from having a door/wall between the bedroom and living room/kitchen. The high ceilings and the dark wood style make the room seem much bigger and less dorm-like. I love the kitchen, super user-friendly, and overall new appliances.
