Is Rubin Hall the best dorm at NYU?

Students rated Rubin Hall a 3.7/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.

Rubin Hall is basically not livable during the summer due to its nature of not having any air conditionings. The building itself is overly aged and thus the elevators are excessively slow and everything is just old.

This building is visibly falling apart. The basement is hazardous. It is clearly very aged, the walls have been painted over and the floors are very scratched up. Living in a lower cost triple with roommates who are anything less than spotless and your best friends is miserable. It will be nice post renovation, it’s a great area, but it was horrible and so muggy for not just the one month of August but three- August, September, and May/April. The bathrooms were not nice at all and the lighting is like an asylum

Not the best building/rooms, but definitely the best community. The lounge is lit, I met all my close friends there.

The doubles are HUGE and still a steal compared to other dorms. The lounge is always poppin' and you only need to deal with a couple weeks of no AC (which is a good time to meet friends in the air conditioned lounge!)

No AC but it’s not that big of a deal. Great location and you won’t find any other dorm as nice for as low of a price.
