Is Founders Hall the best dorm at NYU?

Students rated Founders Hall a 4.3/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.

Overall, based on the available information, I would give NYU Founders Hall dorm a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars. While the dorm offers many amenities and is conveniently located, the high cost and potential for noise and crowding may detract from the overall experience.

Since it’s a relatively new building the overall was nice, spacious in the room, the furnitures was standard dorm room setting, however I was not very used to living in dorms, but I made lots of friends and had a easier start with the new environment and school.

There are huge space, large window and clean bathroom. Room to room sound insulation is good, too, but there's no in-room washing and drying or kitchen.

I loved living in Founders Hall! To me, it was the best first year dorm by far. Although it may be a bit far from campus, the views were so nice and the rooms were very spacious. They also include a microwave and fridge unit! The only down side is the bathrooms are a bit crusty at times, but it’s manageable.

The building is great, it is only ten years old so the inside is very clean and updated. The rooms are very large, we had enough space for a 5x7 rug between the two beds, and the large windows let in tons of light. The bathroom is spacious but the corners do mold easily. A full size fridge and microwave are provided which helps compensate for the lack of a kitchen. The building is roughly an 8min walk from most NYU buildings so at times it can seem far. However there are other dorms, dining halls, campus gyms, restaurants, stores, and subway stops extremely close by. You will never feel isolated.
