Is Lipton Hall the best dorm at NYU?

Students rated Lipton Hall a 4.5/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.

Moved to NY from London and this accom is pretty good. Only thing i can complain about is pricing. Other than that, its all good, Would recommend.

Close to the campus, the dormitory is equipped with a dining hall that is vegetarian-friendly compared to other dining halls. Downstairs is Washington square park, five minutes from the library. But there is no kitchen in the dormitory, and if you are lucky you can get a large room

Beware very loud happenings on MacDougal and West 4th at night. Invest in earplugs need be.

Lipton Hall is a great freshman dorm conveniently located near Washington Square Park and a 5-10min walk to most of the buildings (CAS, Stern, Kimmel, GCASL, Bobst library etc.) Another upside of living in Lipton is having a dining hall at your disposal. Most freshman dorms are traditional style ie without having kitchens and having a dining hall in your building is a great + The rooms are spacious and if you're lucky you'll have a great view (I had the view of empire state, a living dream!!) I would say the cons of Lipton Hall are smaller bathrooms and closet space, when compared to other dorms like Brittany Hall. But once you adjust to it, it's really great living there. I know it took me some adjusting especially being an international student but I ended up calling Lipton my home :)

Dining hall in the building is good. It’s clean and sterile. There’s AC as well. The rooms are pretty good. It’s a pretty solid dorm. Very close to classes and the park is right there.
