Is StuVi2 (33 Harry Agganis Way) the best dorm at BU?

Students rated StuVi2 (33 Harry Agganis Way) a 4.5/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.

15th floor double in an 8 person suite with two bathrooms. Very spacious room and a ton of closet space. Great view of the city.

Stuvi 2, as they call it, is. a dream!! If you are lucky enough to live in the apartments, you will love it (only Juniors and Seniors allowed, but underclassmen can live in the dorm-style apartments in the same building). The easiest way to secure a spot is to know someone who already lives there and can pull you in. The location is okay, it's perfect for athletes but if you want to get to class in east campus, you'll have to take the shuttle (which can get really packed) or walk about 20 minutes across campus. The rooms themselves are amazing and have a great view.

Stuvi 2 is a great dorm but quite expensive. The only problem is in stuvi 2 you only have 1 bathroom for 4 people while is stuvi 1 they have 2 bathrooms for 4 people. Other than that its the best housing maybe in Boston.

The Double’s are massive in size and allow both roommates to live comfortably together. There is security, but to the point of there being too much security, sometimes making it hard to get into the building even if you live there

I loved living in Stuvi2 my sophomore year! I lived in a double which was massive and had a walk-in closet type storage area. Unfortunately, the doubles are lengthwise with only one small window, so you have to get there before your roomate to make sure you get the side with any natural light. The desks provided by BU are MUCH bigger than the desks you will get in west dorms or warren, which is super nice. Also, the floorplans for the corner suites and the middle of the building suites are very different, and the middle suites are much better and more open due to the common room being in the center of the suite. Unfortunately, none of the windows open in the building, so you will never be able to have fresh air in your dorm. This was a huge issue for me and one of the reasons I decided to live off-campus instead. The heating system is also wack and even though we called in people from BU services to try and fix it, it was always around 80-85 degrees in our whole suite with the heating as low as it could go, so my suite mates and I were always sweating and never comfortable in our own rooms because it was so hot. Most of the other suites I visited didn't have that problem which was nice, but BU was unable to find anything wrong with our heating so we had to suffer the whole year. Overall would definitely recommend over any other on campus housing!
