I love living in a brownstone, it's close to my classes and is close is distance to many good options in East/central campus. Shared bathrooms only with your roommates and cool common rooms.

the brownstones are either old or have been renovated. i think they plan on renovating all of them eventually! i live in an older one and it's not too bad, definitely WAY nicer than living in warren towers. it's close to marciano (dining hall) and only a 6-7ish minute walk from GSU. the only thing is i hate rugs so the older brownstones have old rugs unlike the newer brownstones that have wooden floors. if you have most of your classes early and in west campus i might not recommend because it's on the other side on campus, but even then you could probably just take the BU bus. cleanliness of the bathroom will depend on your roommates and floormates but its much better than having a communal bathroom. I also like the fact that each brownsto...

Bay State Brownstones have a mix of refurbished and older living conditions. Regardless of that, if you value safety, location, and an easy walk to MOST classrooms and study spaces, Bay State is the best option.

I love 79 BSR! The building itself is a bit rundown and old but other than that it’s an amazing location and super convenient. 79 BSR is a 1 minute walk to Marciano, a 4 minute walk to Questrom, and a 4 minute walk to the Kenmore station. I live in a suite with 2 doubles and the room is SO BIG! We have our own suite bathroom, suite walk in closet, and suite coat closet. One of the rooms has a balcony and the other has a fire place (but it doesn’t work). My room has a great view of the Charles and even though Storrow Dr is right near me, it’s very quiet besides the occasional nearby construction. The main floor has a grand staircase leading up to the other rooms, a communal kitchen, and a common space with a piano. I couldn’t recommend this ...

It was a great place to live and an easy way to get into community living. I enjoyed being in that dorm.

i lived in the brownstones across warren. the best thing about this place was the privacy/location/street. the tradeoff here is the building is pretty old, and communal bathroom that i had to share with 2 other dorm rooms.

Loved living here, no security, big rooms and a fun experience. the location is perfect and the RA's dont bug you. only complaint is sometimes the heating sucks, but thats really only the beginning of terms.

I was living in 91 Bay State. It is a tiny little single dorm on the top floor. The private space is ok but you need to go through a super narrow private stair to reach the 4th floor. And it is a pain when moving. The bathroom was alright since only two of us living at 4th and it was cleaned every morning. A few downsides: no A/C, heatings sometimes blast and unadjustable, and no vents in the room, which means that you have to open the window in cold winter to get fresh air. But the location is one of the best on campus: near the dining and river, right across COM building.

194 Bay State Road, I lived on the first floor is a double and I really liked it because of the location and it was huge. Really huge windows and super close to CAS and central campus. My only complaint is the shared bathroom upstairs with three other rooms and how far it is from Marciano Commons.

172 Bay State Road - it's one of the newly renovated ones so the rooms and bathroom is really nice. Dorms are slightly bigger than Warren and you get these big ass windows to see the trees and lets in sunlight. Laundry downstair is pretty convenient.
