Is 1019 Commonwealth Avenue the best dorm at BU?

Students rated 1019 Commonwealth Avenue a 3.9/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.

The room feels cramped. The lofted beds are so close to the ceiling, and theres barely enough room to bend over stand underneath. Expect to hit your head constantly. The bathroom was fine. The ceiling randomly starting leaking even though we weren’t on the top floor. The AC is loud. Location is nice, and its convenient to have a printer in-building and the study rooms were nice with a view if you could find a spot. Slightly annoying having to go to towers for mail packages but wasn’t a big deal. Overall its a very normal dorm experience but honestly a double in warren seems better.

6 people to one bathroom sucks. you get a common room with some couches and tables tho. all the dorms are doubles, three doubles in a suite, ten suites per floor. little study area on the main floor, the elevators are fine. love the location because it's right by the fitrec and a t stop. right by west, canes, agganis, star market.

Far away from most things, but if you're an athlete / like to be close to the Fit Rec, 1019 is not bad. Suites are nice.

The common room had no windows and the location is inconvenient compared to other housing options, but the room was sizable and walls were relatively soundproof.

I liked having a common room, larger bathroom, air conditioning (although it's not individually controlled) and the location was near Harvard Avenue, which has lots of restaurants.
