Myles Standish Hall Reviews
Boston University
Reviews Summary
Myles Standish Hall is a highly recommended dorm for upperclassmen at Boston University. Renovated and modern, it offers spacious rooms with big windows, vibrant natural light, and individual climate control. The building is well-maintained, has a convenient laundry room, and various study spaces for quiet work. While some rooms may vary in size, students appreciate the cleanliness, lack of pest issues, and the availability of AC. The location is ideal for access to the city, though a bit far from central campus. Myles Standish Hall is praised for its suite-style living, private bathrooms, and the proximity to Kenmore T stop and Questrom School of Business. Despite the lack of common rooms in suites, the dorm features communal areas for gatherings, study lounges, and a game room. Students enjoy the convenience of having a kitchen in the building, mail services, and easy access to public transportation. If you prioritize a quiet, comfortable living environment with numerous amenities, Myles Standish Hall is the perfect choice.

Absolutely worth it! Myles has AC, shared kitchen and many more amazing installations in the building. The room is cool, I am in a double of a 4 persons suite. Had great time with my friends there. Even though you need to clean your own bathroom but the whole place is just amazing.
Feels super renovated, has heating and cooling. very nice. Laundry room i super convenient. Study space is also a great addition
Super close to the Kenmore T stop and Questrom. The rooms are really clean and a good size. The lounges on each floor are super useful for group events as well!
I really liked the location and being close to the city. I enjoyed my summer in myles, there were a lot of food places around.
Currently living here as a junior at BU, unfortunately got stuck in the smallest room in a suite with my best friends, but at least theres that. We currently are in an 8 person suite with 3 doubles and 2 singles. Myles is great but on the very far east side of campus so if you dont have class in Questrom its a long walk, but good news is theres a bus that comes straight to your front door just not as frequently as other places on campus.
Loved living in Myles. It's super nice and would especially recommend if you can live in a suite with your friends. Every week they do popcorn or ice cream Fridays and there's usually a lot of free food events, which is nice. Location is not the best, but the BU bus comes right to the dorm and it's pretty close to Marciano.
I lived here over the summer after my freshman year (Summer 2021). I lived in a suite with 8 singles. I would give this dorm a 10/10 I literally loved it. The only critique I would say is I wish they had a designated common room for each suite with a seating area and I would've loved if this dorm had apartments with kitchens. Otherwise, this dorm is amazing: brand new, ac/heater, love the super east location (though some people think it is too far from central campus but I loved being closer to the city). This dorm is a no-brainer to live in if you can get in. The only thing to consider is the location and if you want to be so far east.
Since I transferred to BU, I have been living in Myles. I love the suite-style experience mainly because I don't have to worry about sharing a bathroom with a dozen other people. Also, the dorms themselves are much newer compared to most of East Campus and come with semi-working air conditioners (personally, I never needed to bring a fan). There are several spots in the building where you can study or do work quietely. Only downside is that Myles is a slight far walk from Central Campus, usually taking me 10-15 minutes to get to classes when I don't take the bus.
The building is newly renovated and very nice. Size of the singles varies a bit; mine was big enough but my suitmate’s was definitely bigger. The AC couldn’t be lowered below 72, so I usually kept the windows open. No pest problems. Saw a single spider in my entire year living here. Otherwise, the amenities were nice. It was so convenient to have mail and a kitchen inside the building. The walk to Marciano dining hall isn’t too far, although the hike to classes is a bit worse than other dorms. Highly recommend Myles if you can get in. Easily the nicest dorm on East campus.
Big windows and quiet living experience. Wouldn't recommend to freshmen who want a social experience, but to upper class men who already have friends and want a nice place to go back to.
