Is McMorrow Residential College the best dorm at USC?
Students rated McMorrow Residential College a 4.8/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
Pros - in the USC Village so super convenient. Newer building so no plumbing or lighting issues Cons- not enough study rooms, RAs weren’t really involved, and it’s the smallest of the dorms in the village.
Like all rooms in the Village it is up to date, renovated and offers great amenities like laundry room per floor, balcony/outdoor common area, AC, and great plumbing. My semesters, the laundry machines kept disconnecting leaving the whole building to what one laundry room for 2 weeks, but other than that I appreciates the small community and the easily accessible study lounges where u could hook up your laptop to the TV’s. It’s a very good location right next to campus and offers an indoor bike garage!
Located at the village! That guarantees safety, resources, and proximity to your classes. At night, there are security guards checking for identification. If you want late night snacks, there are also vending machines full of snacks and drinks.
It's a quiet dorm with muted hallway colors. There isn't too much socialization that occurs on the hallways, but the people are friendly and interesting. The loft is a bit small as there is less kitchen counter space and if you study at the desk it is a bit dark (a lamp is needed). Overall the room has everything one could need from a room with three small fridges, two microwaves, and a stove with burners. The only limit to what you do with the room is bounded by your imagination.
Great place to live as a sophomore. Nice kitchen, spacious rooms, and nice amenities on the floor. 2-3 study lounges and a nice balcony overlooking the Village. It is the smallest Village res college so it is easy to get to your room! Also, the entrance is closest to campus which is nice.
