McCarthy Honors Residential College Reviews

McCarthy is great! New, clean facilities, room common spaces cleaned 2x per week. My favorite part is the study lounges on every floor which have a variety of different setups and table sizes :) Only possible downsides: bedroom size can widely vary depending on which room type you have, and the windows are kind of small. I’ve seen bedrooms that are nearly double the size of mine. But overall a really great place to live, location is amazing (especially for SCA ppl)!

It was pretty chill dorms were not super big and could’ve had better amenities since it’s from usc but it is wat it is

Love it here, the facilities and lounges are great, and housekeeping makes sure that our personal bathrooms are clean and stocked up on toilet paper

I really loved living in McCarthy! The amenities are incredibly nice and unparalleled to what other freshmen dorms receive. For example, our building has AC, cleaning done twice a week, individual bathrooms, microwave and fridge, and easy access to the village. There are also many study lounges available for you to study with your friends (at least 4+ per floor).

This place is very nice! Right above Dulce so I can go to my favorite cafe in like 10 seconds. if you are an honor student, choose this place!

this dorm is amazing man, sometimes it smells but u get used to it after a day. i love this dorm. it’s great. dude come to this place man, fight on bro

Arguably one of the nicest dorms at USC. Has air conditioning, which isn't necessarily a given. Considerably spacious and even has cleaning services twice a week.

What can go wrong with the village? You have access to every story within 1 minute. The only downside is that if you want to meet other freshman, it may be a little harder than other freshman dorms like New North. Going to class takes a little longer too.

Great amenities. Great workspaces. Great people. Prime location. I was in a loft and even though the room is smaller than other setups, I felt like I had enough space.

We’re spoiled here.
Pros: Has AC 🧍🏻‍♀️, best amenities (suite-style means bathroom is shared w at most three other people), in the village (near trader joe’s and target, has a dining hall right below it)
Cons: not the most social dorm bc suite style, on the edge of campus, is only for honors students
