Great! RA wasn't really involved in our lives. Lounges are nice but get taken quickly. 6P3B common area is really big.
good facilities overall! clean, variety, good location, fast wifi. laundry must be paid for and trash might be inconvenient for different rooms but overall very convenient.
One of the best dorms on campus, really clean and new plus a great location in the village. Nothing bad
The best things about this building is that it is new, furnished, and close to campus with good security. It's also super convenient for students with its location being in the USC Village. However, the downsides to this dorm is that there are no water fountains on each floor, and I've had issues with the water quality in my dorm's kitchen.
I live in Cowlings and Ilium now and I really like it. The amenities are great and there are study rooms, courtyards, and multiple laundry rooms on each floor. Being in the Village, it’s one of the newer buildings on campus - highly recommend!
Cowlings and Ilium is great! It’s super close to all the stores and restaurants in the village and the building itself is very well maintained. There are two outdoor courtyards and lounges on each floor. I live in a loft so the rooms are on the smaller side but you save a lot of money. Highly recommend!
Lived there my sophomore year in a 2-bed 1-bath and loved it. The location is great as it's the same building as Target and Trader Joe's so it's extremely convenient. Anywhere in the Village is great.
Absolutely loved Cowlings and Ilium. I lived in a triple during COVID and it was the best decision. There is so much space and since there is only one bedroom, you get the entire apartment to yourself. A full-sized fridge, plenty of storage, private bathroom, I couldn't ask for anything more. On top of that, there is a private space to lock up your bikes and it connects right to the lobby. Also, this building is super convenient as it is right above Target and TJs, also a few steps away from the Amazon Locker.
Granted I was in Illini the year the Village opened, but Since that was only 3 years ago I would say it is still in fantastic quality. I liked the lower cost of an apartment style but also the ease and accessibility right next to campus. Security is pretty strict so you are limited to 4 guests per person but I think that is a small price to pay when you get new(ish) furniture, renovated bathrooms, and great custodial staff that address any work orders within a day or two. The beds aren’t the best but a foam topper makes it 10x better. Really really great!
A bit of a walk to classes, but convenient for groceries, dining hall access, and the rec center in the Village. Good amenities and kitchen area. I had a double loft room, and I recommend it--there's decent enough living space for one of the most affordable dorm prices available in USC housing.
