Is Brown Hall the best dorm at UMass Amherst?
Students rated Brown Hall a 4/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
Pros: - only share bathroom with 6-8 other people - bathroom is cleaned every morning by staff!! - 3-5 min walk to Worcester Dining Commons - generally closer to campus than Southwest - great community, people are lovely - sylvan snack bar + lots of outdoor space in front of brown to hang out Cons: - smaller rooms, if you get a single you're fine though - not as much natural light/tiny windows - walls are kind of thin Overall, if you love going out but also need space to focus and study, Brown's a great place to live in comparison to other dorms at UMass. It's not as far as SW dorms, barely up a hill, close to Worcester & center of campus, and you'll watch tons of beautiful sunsets
