The dorms are generally going to be z-rooms, which means you and your roommate will have slightly more privacy than traditional shared rooms. Single used bathrooms are located on the ground floor and 3 more spread across the building, lots of laundry rooms, not a lot of laundry machines per room, you have to do laundry on weekdays if you want to have a good chance to do it. bathrooms are pretty clean depending on what the people on your floor are like. if your floor is high up, you will have to walk down the stairs when there is a fire alarm, and southwest dorms are famous for having a lot of them throughout the year. the windows are big and have a great view of the outside, that is if you get lucky with the side of the room with the window...
The southwest towers are old but what else would you expect. The bathrooms were kept clean. Elevators sucked. Loved living there
JQA is one of the best towers in SW. Definitely a fun place to be on campus. 18th floor was amazing.
If you like to be surrounded by people who like to party regularly and live in a pretty loud residential area, SW is the place for you. The best thing about living here is that there are great places to eat that are very close by. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly so using the communal bathrooms isn't bad. I had a single and it was the best decision ever. The biggest problem that I had with living here was how far it was. It's like a 15-20 minute walk depending on where you are going. Overall, living here was not bad.
