Is Wassaja Hall the best dorm at UIUC?
Students rated Wassaja Hall a 4.9/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
Wassaja was a really nice building to live in. The room was a decent size for a dorm, and the high ceilings made it feel more spacious. Because it's a newer building, it felt very clean and nice. I really liked the wood floors. The individual-use bathrooms were really nice, especially while living there during the height of the pandemic. There were four bathrooms to our pod of six rooms, so I usually used the one closest to my dorm but there was always another one free if someone else was using that one. It wasn't the most social dorm though, so I didn't really know any of my neighbors very well.
It's the newest dorm on campus and is very nice. The rooms are decent sized with good natural lighting. Private bathrooms are cleaned everyday. There are TVs in the lounges and even a ping pong table in the game room. Wassaja is also pretty quiet (which may be a good or bad thing). Overall, one of the best dorms on campus.
It is one of the best dorms in my opinion, however, it is hard to get a spot unless you apply for the BLLC
