Is Taft-Van Doren Hall the best dorm at UIUC?

Students rated Taft-Van Doren Hall a 1.5/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.

When I lived there I lived on the bottom floor, essentially a basement. The window in the room was also above our heads and was just at ground level so anyone could easily look into the room at any time. The blinds had to be down a lot on my floor since anyone could look in. The rooms are the smallest on campus and they have the oldest furniture as well. There is no AC in the dorms which makes it very hot at the beginning of the fall semester and the end of the spring semester. The heat is also controlled for the whole building. The building's lobby and common spaces are older and do feel not super clean because of their age. The bathrooms are very small and don't feel very nice. The walls are hollow so you can hear your neighbors very easily. If you live in the bottom floor, you can only midloft one bed and the other one is basically on the floor.
