Is Earhart Hall the best dorm at Purdue?
Students rated Earhart Hall a 4.3/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
Lived here 2019-2020 academic year. The bathrooms were recently renovated but are a little small. The dining court on the first floor is super convenient. The elevators are kinda bad and the location is far from classes but close to most dining courts and the gym.
Earhart is a very solid dorm, and I'd say well worth it, especially since it's cheap. Pros: -DINING COURT IN THE BUILDING. Extremely nice especially when the weather is not. IMO Earhart food is a solid B+, and very consistent day to day. -Air conditioning. It works. nuff said -Nothing important is broken for longer than a day, and rarely Cons: -Shows its age in some ways. Elevators are sketchy, rooms are a little small, it's not a beautiful building. 100% liveable tho, this is not on the level of Tark. -Location is a bit out of the way. Pretty central for residential campus, the COREC and Krach are very close, but the engineering mall is a solid hike. -Sense of community is a solid C. The lobby is not much to look at with not a ton of activities, but nothing major is missing.
The social life here cannot be beat. I met my main group of friends just by hanging out in the lobby doing homework most nights. The rooms have great closets with built-in mirrors, and the desks fit nicely under a lofted bed. The bathrooms were just renovated when I moved in, so they were super nice and clean. The water pressure was amazing too, I still dream about Earhart showers.
I lived in Earhart during my freshman year. it's considered one of the nicer dorms as it has air conditioning and is a slightly newer building compared to others. It was a comfortable and clean place to live in. It gives off the standard dorm and college experience. The bathrooms were very updated and clean, making them really nice to use. The dorms were slightly small for a two-person but way better than the likes of Meredith or Cary hall. The other con is that it's pretty far away from the academic campus but there's a bus stop right outside so it's easy to commute. Overall a nice place to live for a freshman.
Living at Earhart was my prime year for school. Met my closest friends here and we've had a ton of fun at Earhart. Dining court is in the same building so it was very convenient for people who lived in Earhart.
