Really hot, the AC is turned off most of the year. So basically in our room it’s like 79 degrees at night when the outside temperature is around 54. Makes no sense and you can’t open the window because of the window blocker they use. Also very dusty and the halls have distinct smells. Bathrooms are pretty common, there’s mold and does not get cleaned often. Other than that, really social everyone is amazing!
Small rooms wii nice views, bathrooms lack privacy and facilities are outdated. Far from everything on campus.
Super small and overcrowded. Bathrooms lack privacy but they are pretty clean. Far away from other dorms and campus but at least next to the arc and have food trucks to make up for being so far away from everything.
Absolute shit show. Bathroom do not get cleaned. Showers are constantly broken. 90% of the rooms have severe mold. Each room has 3 people crammed together in a room smaller than an average bedroom. Filth and water contamination is more potent here than a sewer. Good luck trying to stay healthy here. This dorm will definitely put a dent in your overall quality of life. Oh and btw all this is priced at a whopping 20 thousand dollars per year. Stay safe and don’t live in chappy.
Pros: near gym + aquaplex, food trucks, market + cafe right outside, lively+ social, nice view Cons: fire alarms often, showers w curtains, small rooms, 2 elevators for 11 floors, mold + contaminated water
You get food trucks and a market/cafe nearby. But other than that fire alarms go off frequently, if you live in the higher floors elevator traffic, bathrooms disgusting or broken, water is contaminated, and simply far from everything except the gym
this building is honestly pretty terrible, bathrooms are filthy and barely get cleaned, stuff constantly stops working and breaks (drinking water on my floor started leaking sewer water and then black sludge a few days later, fire alarm has gone off probably 10 times this year, air conditioning hasn’t worked in months, etc.). Pretty close to soccer field and ARC which is nice, otherwise kind of a shithole and a robbery considering the monthly rent chappy more like crappy LOL (credit to my roommate for that one)
Disgusting bathrooms, tiny rooms. Built for doubles. SDSU over enrolled so now all rooms are tiny triples. Far from everything on campus, farthest freshman dorm from anything. They turn the AC off for most of the year so we don't get any air besides the tiny window crack we are allowed to open. Bathrooms, and water stations are disgusting
Pros: There is a convenient market right outside the dorm and a bcb next door. There are also food trucks that come to the dorm which helps since the dorm is far from campus and other places to eat. Cons: The rooms are very small, the building is far from campus, and the building is old. The air conditioning only works if it is above a certain temperature and the windows only open an inch because of the safety bolt. To live in Chapultepec you should expect to have little space for storage. You have to provide your own dresser drawers 2/3 of the time because there is only one dresser in the room and the other two people get a “closet” which is very small and only has a bar to hang clothes. The bathrooms get cleaned everyday except weekends...
