Number 10
Huaxtepec
based on 1 review
"For the most part, I enjoyed living at Huaxtepec because it was fairly new, had a large laundry room, multiple community spaces, and food trucks every weekday. The people were also very social as a lot of the friends that I made lived in Huaxy " - 1 year ago

Granada

"I live in a double, which is a bunk bed and the bedroom is a little small for two people. Overall, the apartment is nice and we have a large living room and kitchen area and good amenities such as in apartment wash and dryers and the common room. " - 1 year ago

Mixquic
based on 1 review
"Mixquic is the furthest away from all the second year housing "tecs" but it's definitely the most modern. There are 6 people to an apartment with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We had a huge living room, kitchen, and even a backyard (we were a corner apartment, not sure if this applies to the others). However, we were supposed to walk to another building to do laundry (main downside). They definitely painted the apartment to be more modern and pretty good for what we paid for. It's just a small complex and at the end of the Tecs so def the most quiet! " - 1 year ago

Zura
based on 6 reviews
"I lived in a triple on the 8th floor of Zura hall. The building has about 300 students in it and you are adjacent to 3 other dorm style buildings. One uoside was there was alwsy a new person to meet while a downside was the elevators were always broke. You share bathrooms with your floor so that can get nasty at times. The laundry room isnt 24 hours but at the same time isnt always busy if you go at the right time." - 4 years ago

Huāxyacac
based on 6 reviews
"I lived here the first year it was open for freshmen, so the building was brand new and very nice as far as bathroom amenities and proximity to dorms, community centers and study rooms, rooftop access, RA's that were involved with the residents. The dorm also feels super secure with the check in measures; the room sizes were as to be expected but did feel small even for two people. The main downside of living in Huax is the proximity to campus and all the eating places especially. It was a far walk to the main eateries, but they did have food trucks come to help with this problem. " - 1 year ago

Maya
based on 5 reviews
"I enjoyed living in Maya my freshman year. I really liked how it was not too many floors or people because it felt more personal and easy to connect with others. I wish there was more washing machines in the first floor wash room because I felt like they were all always in use whenever I would go to do laundry. Also, the air conditioning unit was basically useless the whole year and broke quite often but as long as you keep your window and/or door open it’s not too hard to air out the room. The TV in the common areas were super fun to use and helped us all on the floor connect and watch shows and games together. Also, being on this side of campus is super convenient because we are close to all the major food locations, trolley station and the Student Union. I feel like we are also closer to most of the frats which is nice when going out. Overall, Maya was a great dorm to live in as my first dorming experience and I would recommend this building to all incoming freshmen. " - 1 year ago

Toltec
based on 1 review
"As a second year, living in Toltec was way better than expected. Before living here I had only heard bad things about the Tecs. However, the living space was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I share a room with my roommate and we have a walk in closet and a bathroom in our room. I think the sizes of the room are big enough for two people to put all their stuff and be comfortable. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are all good sizes for a college apartment. We have enough room for all the appliances and lots of cupboard space. The only bad thing would be that there are no ceiling lights in the bedrooms or living rooms so they give you a lot of lamps. Overall, I liked living in Toltec and it may be a little farther from campus compared to the other options but having all of the other apartments here is nice. " - 1 year ago

Tenochca
based on 6 reviews
"Tenochca is a mid dorm here at SDSU. It's not as bad as Chappy or even maya/olmeca, but not South Campus. As most of the sdsu dorms aren't equipped to fit 3 people, tenochca has the smallest rooms for sure. I'm 4'11 and my head hits the ceiling in my top bunk. So if you're not in a bunk bed triple the experience is definitely better. I am giving it a 3.3 because communal living is never going to be the best. The halls are small so you really get to know your floor, I have had a great experience with that. The bathrooms get cleaned a lot during the week but you learn even adults really just can't clean up after themselves and this is the greatest negative factor for me. I don't think the location in walking terms is bad at all from here!" - 1 year ago

University Towers
based on 5 reviews
"Best dorm/building by far because of the bathroom in the room, 2 bed space, larger space, and chill front desk. The only issue is that it is a bit far from some classes but if you invest in an electric scooter it is perfect for to and from University Towers. I use an electric scooter and it fits under my bed when I fold it up and makes it super easy to get to classes, food, and activities. The walls are a bit thin though as I feel like I can hear my neighbors a lot more compared to my previous dorm in Olmeca which is a slight minus. The dining hall on the first floor is super yummy and is quite affordable which is awesome. There are elevators which makes it easy to get to your dorm and to your classes with a scooter or skateboard. The front desk never checks for id which allows for friends to come through to the dorm easily without having to do the whole check in checkout process that you usually have to do at other dorms. Overall a much better dorm experience compared to Olmeca and is definitely the best dorm I have been in for freshman SDSU housing." - 11 months ago

South Campus Plaza
based on 10 reviews
"best dorm actually. depending on the building, ur either above trader joes or a bunch of restaurants. all rooms here have their own bathroom which is shared with roommates. (you do have to clean it yourself, but imo that's better than communal bathrooms.) room is surprisingly bigger than expected, definitely bigger than some other dorms on campus. building is fairly new and modern and it's a short walk to get to campus. also has two elevators that all students can use, as well as a trash chute for easy waste disposal. worst part would probably some people, as some don't quite know how to clean up after themselves in communal areas.
