It’s clean, new, and quiet, but farther from a lot of popular buildings than other dorms, but it is closer to the engineering buildings.

The dorm is the newest on campus and pretty modern. Facilities are nice and include study lounges/vending machines on every floor, a mini-fitness center + game room, and a nice formal lounge + outdoor courtyard. The dorm allows you to scan your ID to enter your room rather than use a physical key which is a huge timesaver. The rooms have individual AC units and are larger in space relative to the other dorms on campus. It's also closeby to Kins (superior dining hall) and Guad (In And Out, Halal Bros, etc). The only downside is that the dorm is the northernmost building on campus so it can be quite a walk to get to your classes. This is only noticeably a hassle in the scorching hot summer, otherwise, the walk is enjoyable.

The dorm and the building are satisfactory and what you would expect from any college dorm. Each room has a bunk bed that you share with your roommate with a connecting bathroom. However, the dorm is on the corner of North campus so if I had the opportunity I would've stayed somewhere else like Jester West because that is where more of the classes were close to and where more students hung out, especially Freshmen. The closest cafeteria to Duren was in Kinsolving, which is about 3 min walk away. There is also a west campus bus stop right outside, which could take you to the other side of campus in about 15 min. Otherwise, it would probably be a 15 min walk to Jester side if you're a fast walker like me.

Definitely the most modern feel of dorms on campus. The front desk is very helpful with packages. It felt more spacious however as I didn’t have a roommate due to COVID. I still recommend this dorm as Kins is across the street. Still a walk from other places on campus but I didn’t mind as I had my own space and bathroom. In the laundry room, people do tend to leave their stuff in washers and dryers. Recommend waiting and moving your clothes as there is space available to do work. Maintenance is on-time and responds within 24 hours.
