Dorms are tied with Duren for the nicest on campus. San Jac is the most expensive though. Lots of student athletes live here and it’s close to the stadium/south campus buildings. Only con is that there is one laundry room for the whole residence hall, and the south tower has a reputation for constantly smelling like marijuana. If the price point works for you, San Jac is a solid option for UT students.

San Jac is one of the nicest dorms at ut and a big bonus is private baths for the room. As a business major it was close to my classes, but for other majors it could be a little far. Room was spacious and bathroom was fine, but the shower is extremely small. Overall fine experience, but it is expensive and does smell like weed often...

San Jacinto Hall is the most expensive dorm on campus (tied with Duren hall in North Campus). That being said, it is also one of two dorms at UT that solely offers private bathrooms. The bathrooms themselves aren't very modern and are stand-in showers only. The rooms are very spacious in comparison to other on-campus dorms. The laundry room offers about 20-30 washers and driers which is a plus (albeit only located in the South Tower). San Jacinto also houses one of the best on-campus cafes and convenience stores. There's also many study spots throughout the building and is located near the DKR stadium and very close to Speedway.

San Jacinto is by far the nicest but most expensive dorm at UT. You can have your own bathroom and everything is very new. It can be very loud though since it right next to the stadium and it’s the athletic dorm hall so it’s always loud. Has a market downstairs and some nice study areas which is cool. Can be a little far from some places on campus but not crazy.

Room seemed larger than some of the alternative dorms, and the private bathroom was definitely a plus. The proximity to the bus stop and the cafe on the ground floor were really convenient too.
