Kins is a great place to live if you’re engineering! It’s right down the street and super convenient to come back after classes to eat, maybe take a nap, then head out again for work. The study rooms get filled up quickly and there’s not a whole lot of space, but they get the job done. Never had any issues with noise or other residents, and everyone is super sweet.

Overall I think this dorm is a great choice! Really nice closet space and the beds pull in and out of the wall. One down side is you are not able to control the temperature, and the air conditioning broke a couple times. The staff is very helpful and present. It is also very great to live in a dorm that has a dining hall.

Kins is the BEST if you’re an engineering/pre-med student. It’s super close to all the engineering buildings and also really close to Guad and West Campus, so there’s always stuff to do. Jester and adj. building are a pretty far walk which could be a little annoying, but Kins Dining is well worth it- you’ll have the best food on campus just downstairs. Being around all girls takes a little anxiety out of being in a dorm, but people aren’t always the most welcoming- you’re more likely to find a tight community on your floor in Jester. Also, having your bed on the floor and d...

Overall I thought this was a good pick, although probably not the best on campus. For reference, I lived in the shared bath half of the building Pros:- Dining hall in the building. Always nice when it was raining- Small. The elevators were never full and it was easy to take the stairs since it’s only five floors and laundry was almost never full- A closet with a door. When you have people over, all your junk isn’t in full view- A large desk. While you can’t move it, it’s huge and I never ran out of space despite owning a lot of electronics- An exercise room. The gyms are generally packed, but I was never in this room with more than 4 people - The one window let the room be really bright if opened but could also be completely dark when clos...
