Residents appreciate the well-functioning elevators, peaceful atmosphere, and the convenience of having amenities like dining halls nearby. I lived in a suite with my friend, and if you have a good roomie, then it's pretty chill. Overall, I got sick twice in the same semester for a week each with a crazy fever where I would hallucinate. I'm pretty sure it was because the vent in my room had black mold. This would make sense because our shower curtain also had black mold and soon almost half of it towards the end of the school year was covered in it. Besides that, my room had enough light so it wasn't that terrible and pretty spacious. It's also close to the J2 and JCL dining halls, but not close enough so go to Jester West if you're lazy. If you want quiet though, East is pretty good because the people are not as party (I think).
Cool place, more chill than jester west, which i rlly liked, i had a suite and its very fun if u know everyone ur living with
Jester east is quieter compared to Jester west. I had a shared bathroom (Jack and Jill style). It’s nice when you have good suite mates.
i lived in jester east for two years! i loved the community — lots of events for residents to meet each other and get free stuff. most rooms had a sink which was extremely convenient. cons: probably the size of the dorms. kind of a smaller space but its a dorm what do u expect lol. another con would be j2 dining. the food is mid and kinsolving is sm better. another con would be the lack of private study lounges. overall, loved my time at jeast!!
Jester East is super underrated! The janitors were great and the elevators came much faster than Jester West. Met a lot of friends and was super close to classes, the dining hall, gym, and library. Would highly recommend!
It was especially convenient living in Jester East given the close proximity I had to all my classes as well as extracurricular events. It made me commute on campus more more quick and convenient. It was also easy to make friends and socialize in my dorm because the dining hall acted as an accessible spot/time to hangout and convene with others. Some ones I will say though are the lack is maintenance in the dorms and thin walls.
It was especially convenient living in such close proximity to my classes and other buildings on campus and made the commute to different classes and events much more quick and efficient. It was also a great place to socialize and meet new people and friend. Some cons though I would say are the lack of study spaces in each hall as well as the lack of maintenance.
Loved living here. Nice and peaceful and elevators worked really well. Super convenient location and loved my RA!
It was pretty chill. It’s jester so yk pretty mid but standard. The suites are rly nice if you can get one
pros: Good room, nice movable furniture, sink in room, good location and close to dining halls cons: not aesthetically pleasing
