Lewis Hall
Browse 5 Lewis Hall reviewsFeatured student reviewPros: Rooms are pretty large and comfy. Location is super close to almost everything as a CS major. Basement is renovated so its nice but it's way too hot sometimes. Cons: Bathrooms are kinda meh, the faucet is too close to the edge of the sink so its hard to put your hands under. The heat is always on so its like 90 degrees in the building at all times. - 1 year ago

John Quincy Adams Hall
Browse 4 John Quincy Adams Hall reviewsFeatured student reviewIf you like to be surrounded by people who like to party regularly and live in a pretty loud residential area, SW is the place for you. The best thing about living here is that there are great places to eat that are very close by. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly so using the communal bathrooms isn't bad. I had a single and it was the best decision ever. The biggest problem that I had with living here was how far it was. It's like a 15-20 minute walk depending on where you are going. Overall, living here was not bad. - 4 years ago

Brooks Hall
Browse 1 Brooks Hall reviewFeatured student reviewIt is actually surprisingly nice to live in Brooks Hall, Central. It is really close to the Franklin Dining Hall and is at the base of the large hill (that leads to the rest of Central Residential Area and Orchard Hill). I was super nervous when moving in because the rooms were a little smaller than the average dorm at UMass but you get used to it I guess. The ground level is newly renovated and the bathrooms on the ground level feel like HOTELS. There is an elevator. The women's bathrooms are on floors 2 & 3 and the men's bathrooms are on 1 & 4. Bathrooms are relatively clean, showers are cleaned every Thursday. - 1 year ago

Oak Hall
Browse 2 Oak Hall reviewsFeatured student reviewDorm itself is amazing. Great location right by the gym. No dining hall within so that is unfortunate. Honors kids are so so mixed though. Some are chill, but a majority are very studious and almost pretentious at times. Not really my vibe. Freshman year was kind of mid. - 2 years ago

Thatcher Hall
Browse 4 Thatcher Hall reviewsFeatured student reviewPros: - Big room (Compared to Doubles around campus, this room is very big) - Great Location (Super close to many classes (Goessman, Engineering Lab, LGRC, ILC, Morill) and Worcestor Dining hall, and not that far from Campus Center, Library, Student Union - Lounge on every floor plus a nice lounge plus kitchen in the basement - Pretty nice bathrooms, reliable showers - Water dispenser on every floor - Nice quiet area of living - Right next to Thatcher Road (back area nice for unloading and packing things Cons: - Doesn't have amenities like ping pong table, or pool table like in Johnson Hall for example - 1 year ago

Elm Hall
Browse 2 Elm Hall reviewsFeatured student reviewLived in a suite with two doubles. The biggest downside is that with the suites no one really leaves their dorms since they have a common room and bathroom right there. All year I probably saw other people on my floor less than 10 times. Other than that I loved it. It’s deceptively central on campus. Most of classes were up by northeast (STEM major) and the walk was shorter than when I lived in central. Biggest downside is no close dining hall. - 4 years ago

Linden Hall
Browse 1 Linden Hall reviewFeatured student reviewMost of the rooms in Linden are suite-style. I lived on the bottom floor, which you have to go down one from the main entrance. The laundry was on the same floor and that was great. There's AC, everything's carpeted, and my suite had 2 doubles and one bathroom (shower and toilet in one room, 2 sinks and a huge mirror outside). Our common room was huge because it was the corner room. Little to no RA involvement because it's less communal than other dorms. - 4 years ago

Sycamore Hall
Browse 2 Sycamore Hall reviewsFeatured student reviewI can say that this is the best dorm in Umass. I can really find a community here. The bathroom and common rooms are super nice! You're also going to meet a bunch of new people here! Definitely the best choice! - 1 year ago
