Goddard was amazing for its location, if nothing else. Literally 5-7 minutes from my furthest class, and across the corner from Bobst. The rooms are not super big but they're functional. The Residential College experience is definitely something I'd recommend, because you decide how much you want to participate (I went to ~5 events per semester, my roommate did ~2, I know people who did almost every one). Goddard is the smallest NYU dorm and everyone applied to get in so you definitely get to know a lot of people. Downside is that it doesn't have a kitchen in the room (only a communal one in the basement) and though it's not far from Weinstein and Lipton it's a little bit of a bother on cold/rainy days.
The rooms in goddard are super tiny and if you’re not involved in the residential college program it’s pretty much impossible to make friends. The location however is really good and it only took me 5 minutes to walk to most of my classes. Also, the Starbucks right underneath was very handy.
