Is Jester East the best dorm at UT Austin?

Students rated Jester East a 4/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.

I lived in a suite with my friend, and if you have a good roomie, then it's pretty chill. Overall, I got sick twice in the same semester for a week each with a crazy fever where I would hallucinate. I'm pretty sure it was because the vent in my room had black mold. This would make sense because our shower curtain also had black mold and soon almost half of it towards the end of the school year was covered in it. Besides that, my room had enough light so it wasn't that terrible and pretty spacious. It's also close to the J2 and JCL dining halls, but not close enough so go to Jester West if you're lazy. If you want quiet though, East is pretty good because the people are not as party (I think).

pros: Good room, nice movable furniture, sink in room, good location and close to dining halls cons: not aesthetically pleasing

Jester east is quieter compared to Jester west. I had a shared bathroom (Jack and Jill style). It’s nice when you have good suite mates.

It was especially convenient living in such close proximity to my classes and other buildings on campus and made the commute to different classes and events much more quick and efficient. It was also a great place to socialize and meet new people and friend. Some cons though I would say are the lack of study spaces in each hall as well as the lack of maintenance.

It was especially convenient living in Jester East given the close proximity I had to all my classes as well as extracurricular events. It made me commute on campus more more quick and convenient. It was also easy to make friends and socialize in my dorm because the dining hall acted as an accessible spot/time to hangout and convene with others. Some ones I will say though are the lack is maintenance in the dorms and thin walls.
