Is Crossman Hall the best dorm at CU Boulder?

Students rated Crossman Hall a 4/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.

Pros: Everyone in the dorms is an engineer, you will be in classes together, you will meet people in your major. The dorm is right next to the engineering center, I would wake up for my 10AM at 9:50 and be in class on time. you're also close to dining halls/ Sometimes the RAs will organize fun events and dorm wide games. We had midnight breakfasts and the like If you like parties and the like, there will be parties in the dorm. If you don't like parties, I had a friend who had a party in her room every weekend, and another friend, who lived right across the hall from her, that went to bed at 10 every night, they never had any problems. Cons: I lived in crosman with two roommates. While the room is not the smallest, I had friends who had one roommate with rooms that were not much smaller than my own (they were in Will Ville and andrews). The engineering quad does not have air conditioning. This will not be much of an issue after the first month or so of school but during that time my roommates and I had our fans running full speed 24/7 because of how hot it got in the room. For one of the largest communities on campus (we had around 200 people in the dorm) you have two washing machines (20 minute cycles) and two dryers (40 minute cycles) to satisfy everyone's washing needs The attached bathrooms are ok. As a student living in the engineering quad you are required to participate in the engineering quad LLC. This means that you have to take COEN 1830, it is terrible.

Top floor Crossman, best floor Crossman. As long as your RA promotes an open door policy, this might be one of the best years of your life.

Pros: Great location close to the dining hall and the Farrand grab&go/market. The quad is relaxing but it can be pretty loud on game days. On at least the first floor all the rooms have a bathroom in them which was nice and the closest had doors. Cons: It’s the smallest dorm on campus which sucks because there is only one common area which is a sad room in the basement. Only two washers and dryers for the whole building. Because the building is so old it has radiators that clink loudly when turned on.
