Best dorm for sure. Great location, super close to dining hall and engineering/business buildings. Bathrooms were always super clean and never busy. AC was clutch. Rooms with a private bathroom were sick. UPS center was in the same building which was super convenient
Lived in Kittredge Central Global RAP and it was the best dorm! We had a VR set for anyone to use, free printer, snacks and cool activities that were paid for! I shared a bathroom with three other people and there were no problems what's so ever. Definitely recommend it!
Nicest dorm on Campus, and the Kitt area is close to classes and the c4c while not being right in the middle of everything
I lived in Kitt Central South as part of the Global Engineering RAP from August 2019 to the COVID19 outbreak kicked us out in March 2020. Very nice dorm compared to the Engineering Quad or Will Vill. Not too far from classes but far enough away that it’s not a constant party 24/7. Very close to the Idea Forge in Fleming Law and across the street from a Taco Bell on one side and the Fiske Planetarium on the other. Also has a lot of upperclassmen returners who are good to have around to rely on as a freshman.
Pros: Fairly newly renovated dorm, close to the C4C (3-4 min walk), the Planetarium is next to the dorm, it has a UPS store and the Kittredge Market within the dorm, has air conditioning, it's usually quiet, the dorm has various room types, it has the Global Engineering RAP, but students can choose to live for the traditional experience without being a part of the RAP program, there are also study spaces, and the dorm is also located next to the Kittredge Pond Cons: Like the other dorms in the Kittredge Loop, this dorm is a little farther from main campus, it typically takes anywhere from a 10 to 20 min walk to get to most places on campus, such as the Rec Center or the UMC
This building was renovated in 2016 ish so it’s pretty new and well done. There are two towers connected by a skywalk, Kitt North and Kitt South. I lived in Kitt South where the global engineering rap was located. It was super cool bc the rap had several classrooms that could be used as study rooms as well as free printing and a small library. At the base of the North tower were more classrooms and a small market/coffee shop that stayed open pretty late. Rooms are decent sized but most have hardwood floors that could get kind of cold in the winter. I had a semi private bathroom (shared between two doubles) and it was pretty large and easy to keep clean. Overall, I really enjoyed living there!
