  • Number 5

    Baker Hall East

    based on 4 reviews

    "PROS
-Dorms are bigger for a double
-Free box fan for my year at least
-Close to Union and the music/arts stuff
-got to watch a concert in the fall on the South Oval from my dorm
-cheap for a dorm I guess
    -Tradition's at Kennedy's
-Mary is an angel that only floor 4 knows

    CONS
-no temperature control (even hot in winter, AC is only in rec room)
-bathrooms were always nasty (women's closest to Baker Hall W had a shared changing room for 2 showers, men's bathroom was normally covered in puke/cigarette butts)
-nothing sticks to the walls including pictures or frames
    -COCKROACHES

basically, if you just want a place to sleep that is one of the cheapest options and you'll probably never be in there during the day, then this is great. If you are planning to spend any time not under the covers" - 4 years ago

    The Residence on Tenth

    based on 2 reviews

"I loved living in res on 10th. You get so much more space than your traditional dorm. It has the most amazing windows that let in so much natural light. You get a nice sized closet and your own shower for the suite. You also get a larger fridge and some furniture in the common area. The building is clean and modern and new and you don’t have to worry about loud neighbors really. I loved my time in res definitely my favorite place that I have lived on campus. It is the ideal college dorm situation." - 2 years ago

    Jones Tower

    Jones Tower at OSU

"Old dorm but nice to live in.

There are 2 double-person rooms on each floor, but the rest of the building is just singles. Building community, unsurprisingly, is pretty lackluster so join some clubs to make up for it.

The bathroom is cramped but you do have it all to yourself. Air conditioning can be wonky sometimes.

Location is pretty good in general, close to many dining locations and classrooms.

The view from the top few floors is unmatched." - 4 years ago

    Park-Stradley Hall

    based on 5 reviews

"Park strad is pretty damn good, was in a double and me and my roomy were both CSE. Lots of sunlight facing the strad green side and close to union,12th ave nice bread, and most importantly Neil. Had lots of great social memories here just talking with floor mates on late school nights. A very nice modern dorm you’ll have a good experience here!" - 2 years ago

    Baker Hall West

    based on 4 reviews

"Overall not that bad. There are worst dorms. If you have a single it’s really not bad. Even if you have a double they have bigger rooms than the ones in north. The bathrooms are the worst. Cleanliness depends on who you have as floor mates. Sometimes the building gets a nasty sewage smell in the lobby area. The laundry room is bearable but that’s pretty much all the amenities we have. Kitchen is in east, which if you don’t live on the first floor is a while away but still doable. Unfortunately people would rather wash dishes in the bathroom. Great distance from the union where they have good food and there’s a gym close by. It’s not the worst dorm but it’s far from the best. " - 2 years ago
