Lawrence Tower

"This is a predominantly freshman dorm. The rooms are really nice with controlled AC, your own personal bathroom with a tub, and hardwood floors. These rooms are probably the best that you can get on campus for freshmen, However, the location is what really brings it down. There aren't many amenities or dorm life since it's an old hotel. It's also far from Central campus compared to the rest of the dorms, sometimes making it feel isolated. You can either have a super double or triple either which way they're super spacious. If you get place here, don't worry about it, you'll be just fine :)" - 2 years ago

The Residence on Tenth

"I loved living in res on 10th. You get so much more space than your traditional dorm. It has the most amazing windows that let in so much natural light. You get a nice sized closet and your own shower for the suite. You also get a larger fridge and some furniture in the common area. The building is clean and modern and new and you don’t have to worry about loud neighbors really. I loved my time in res definitely my favorite place that I have lived on campus. It is the ideal college dorm situation." - 2 years ago

Haverfield House

"I lived in a quad so it wasn’t that spacious but it wasn’t bad either. It was a really convenient location for me with Haight st being super close and all my classes being walking distance and Scott’s was two seconds away so I liked it tbh. If you’re an arts and science major then I definitely recommend. " - 1 year ago

Scholars East/West

"Cheap dorm with some decent sized rooms and some huge rooms (corner rooms). Cleanliness depends on the particular staff and your neighbors. Room furniture isn't the nicest or newest but is adequate. Buildings feature a pool table and table tennis, two kitchens per building, and a TV area. Lots of space to study around the building." - 4 years ago

Bowen House

"The new north dorms are undoubtedly nice. They have just about everything you could want in a dorm in terms of amenities. HOWEVER... If you are hoping for a social atmosphere, you won't find it in the new North Dorms. The buildings and rooms are very "copy paste", and everyone has just about the same thing. The issue is that the changes in the building code between the building of old and new dorms requires things that basically kill and social are communal atmosphere to the dorm. The doors are nearly impossible to prop open, making it hard to encourage visitors. The atmosphere it create is very "apprehensive", and not great for anyone who easily gets depressed or anxious. In my opinion, it's worth the sacrifice to live in one of the older dorms on North, because the community in them is phenomenal! There may not be A/C there, but that won't be a problem outside of the first few weeks. I promise you it will be worth it, especially because you'll save some money." - 4 years ago

Bradley Hall

"Freshman Honors dorm, great location and attached to kcomm. It’s connected to Paterson and BradPat feels like one big dorm. It’s nicer than Mack/Canfield but not as good as siebert, morrison, etc. Bathrooms are communal but were recently renovated so they’re alright." - 4 years ago

"Old dorm but nice to live in.
There are 2 double-person rooms on each floor, but the rest of the building is just singles. Building community, unsurprisingly, is pretty lackluster so join some clubs to make up for it.
The bathroom is cramped but you do have it all to yourself. Air conditioning can be wonky sometimes.
Location is pretty good in general, close to many dining locations and classrooms.
The view from the top few floors is unmatched." - 4 years agoWe collected 5 dorm reviews for Jones Tower

"2nd best dorm behind res on south campus! Best location for food options and right by bus stops to take you north whenever you need! Pretty big rooms for a regular double at OSU tbh." - 4 years ago

Raney
based on 1 review
"I roomed in raney my freshman year and it was really nice. The bathrooms weren’t what I was expecting(they were better) and the room itself was nice. The building was pretty modern too. My favorite part was the distance from high street and places like Scott and nrec. I had a pretty quiet floor so if you are looking to be more social raney probably isn’t the best fit. The normal 2 person rooms themselves are a tad bit small but they are nice nonetheless. " - 1 year ago

Houston House

"Loved Houston. The building was great, the location was great, the rooms were great... I could go on forever! One thing I really loved was having the kitchen/building lounge on the second floor- if you’re studying there you won’t get distracted by people walking in and out of the building, and it’s just a lot more private overall." - 4 years ago
