Great dorm with a great location. Can’t get closer to the academic side and good proximity to the dining halls on the residential side. Cleanliness was not an issue and the bathrooms are some of the nicest out of any dorms. Only about 30 people on each half of the floors so it’s easy to get to know people. No air conditioning but it’s rarely an issue if you have two box fans.
Main Campbell is one of the oldest dorms on VTs campus, the rooms were small, with paint chipped walls and no AC, but it had a lot that made up for that. Newly renovated bathrooms, definitely the nicest communal bathrooms on campus, great placement on the Drillfield, really easy to get to class, nice common areas, clean community kitchen, even better community of people. Not the best at Tech, but an option to consider!
Relatovely small dorm, but you get to be close with everyone there. We all became one family together.
Bathroom was pretty recently renovated, it was nice. I didn't find the kitchen for months, and it was gross from people using it and not cleaning up after. Location was great. Right on the Drillfield, center of the entire campus, nothing was far. Other dorms may have been closer to specific places, like one of the dining halls, or some of the classrooms, but we were fairly equidistant from them all. And I loved being right on the Drillfield, able to go out and play Frisbee or football at the drop of a hat.
