Jennings is a really fun dorm if you're looking for a place to be social, but it is called the "Dirty J" for a reason. Kind of gross but definitely a really fun experience; location is good because it's close to campus and sorority row which is nice if you're rushing. Overall I really do miss Jennings and so much fun there, would definitely recommend to those wanting to be social/make friends.
Jennings is a great place to live. Nice rooms with dimmable lights and nice flooring, large bathrooms, lots of study spaces, and floors are not co-ed. It’s a little farther away from campus than Broward and Rawlings but location is not bad at all. I would definitely recommend living here
I lived in jennings my freshman year and met some of my best friends there. since i did live here during COVID, i did not have to worry about it being very far from classes. it is very convenient in how close it is to sorority row. overall, thought it was an amazing experience and better than i expected dorm life to be.
I liked living in Jennings for my freshman year! The open common spaces and study rooms offer opportunities to socialize without leaving your dorm building, but if you don't want to be social at all you have that option too (just stay in your room!) Super close to the Broward dining hall (5 min walk) and the Beaty pod market (like a 2 min walk, literally so close and open until 3 am!) so you have nearby food options for any time of the day. For girls involved in greek life or interested in rushing, jennings is close to sorority row. There are vending machines on the ground floor for late night snacking too! Jenning...
Pros: Very social dorm, 2 study rooms in lobby which were good for getting work done and also meeting people on my floor. The lobby always has people in it no matter what time it is. Lots of very social people in the dorm, I ended up meeting a lot of great, friendly people freshman year. The dorm is a 5 minute walk from Marston Library and Broward Dining Hall. Cons: I saw 6 roaches in the 7 months I lived there, and everyone on my floor dealt with roaches at one point. A/C was kind of busted, it made ice if I left it too cold, and the room smelled horrible if it was too hot. This was a big issue because in my freshman semester I saw temperatures from 30 degrees to 60 degrees. Jennings' location is kind of rough, as its a 15 minute ...
