    Yulee Hall

    based on 2 reviews

Yulee was great for a Freshman dorm. Close to everything (dining hall, library, classes, etc.), but still tucked away so there wasn't a bunch of noise every night. The room itself was standard, maybe even a bit bigger than the normal doubles. It was nice! Also, the desk at the area (Cypress) is open 24/7 so you don't need to worry about not being able to get back in if you forget your keys. No elevator, but they do have laundry on the first floor. - 4 years ago

    Buckman Hall

    based on 5 reviews

I love living in Buckman for the aesthetic of the building, the proximity to food options and libraries, and the in-room sink! I will say I’ve had to kill a few more bugs than normal since I live on the first floor. The only other potential issue is that you can get a room that is much smaller or larger than the room next to you, since the building was converted from classrooms. I’ve personally loved my experience living here, though! - 4 years ago

    Murphree Hall

    based on 5 reviews

BEST DORM EVER. We had a two room double. You get your own private room practically because we had a door separating the two rooms. Huge room for each person, AMAZING location, beautiful, and the communal bathroom is only used by 7 others so nobody is ever in there at the same time. Air conditioning works well and it has thick walls so You will be able to get sleep and not hear any noise!! It’s also kept super clean. By far my FAVORITE DORM AT UF!!! Amazing. Also directly next to the gym. Id love to live here again. - 4 years ago

    Springs Complex

    based on 3 reviews

This would be the perfect dorm if it had Rawlings location. It is so far from anything and everything.

Other than that, it is super quiet, large rooms, big private bathroom, and walk-in closets. Its one of the newest dorms, so you don’t see much of anything be run down. Never saw a bug inside. It also has its own elevator, water fountains with water bottle fillers, study rooms, vending machines, and is carpeted. Really can’t be beat! - 4 years ago

    Infinity Hall

    based on 5 reviews

I just finished living in Infinity this year, and I had a pretty good experience. Although it can be annoying getting up earlier to make class on time, the luxury of not having to use a communal shower is totally worth it. Not having a kitchen didn't really bother me because I usually ate at my sorority. Even if you have a meal plan, the closest dining hall (Broward) is about a 15-minute walk, which some students might not want to make, especially at night. However, I would not have enjoyed my experience as much if I didn't have my car nearby. I parked at the Park on the Fly lot right across the street, which made it easy to drive to campus if I didn't feel like walking. Having my car allowed me to feel safe going to the library late at night. Although I never had a bad experience walking home alone, it can be a bit sketchy at night. The only good part of the location is that it's an easy walk from downtown when you don't want to pay for an Uber. - 11 months ago

    Lakeside Complex

    based on 3 reviews

Lakeside is the perfect combo of living in an apartment and still living on campus. Lakeside is very close to the nature trails, the larger on campus gym, and is still quiet and not in the hustle and bustle of main campus. Lakeside has MANY different buses and routes so it’s super easy and quick to get to classes and main campus with night time routes too. Walking is also an option (approx. 20 minutes to center of campus) if you enjoy walking like I do. Parking is usually not a problem unless it’s late in the evening as there’s two lots around lakeside. If those are full you can park at SW Rec and walk the 5 minutes which isn’t bad. Overall a great experience for my sophomore year and I will be staying at lakeside again for Jr year. - 4 years ago

    Broward Hall

    based on 6 reviews

Very good location, close to the Chic-fil-a and broward dining. Used to be the best location when the pool and the tennis courts were back there but it was replaced by the new honors dorms. Very walkable to marston library if you are big on studying. The room layouts are the typical 1 room for 2 people with enough space for everyone unless you are in a triple. the rooms were generally clean. the bathroom were on one end of the hall, and a long walk if you are on the other side. Very social dorm overall. - 2 years ago

    Fletcher Hall

    based on 1 review

    Fletcher Hall at UF

My experience at Fletcher Hall was great! you can't bit the location, literally in the middle of campus, just steps from the Swamp. The building is so beautiful, the architecture is outstanding. The three room triple rooms are of a very nice size! They come with an XL twin bed, you can raise the bed frame and use the bottom as storage or place the dresser, a mini fridge or a futon under it. You have space in the middle to place a rug and a little chair. The room comes with a dresser, a desk, chair and a closet with doors. My room had a big window with so much natural light. Our three room triple had a common area where we place the tv, a futon and two chairs and a baker's rack. The three of us shared a bathroom. The toilet was separated from the shower.
Cons, no elevator, no kitchen in our floor, not enough space in our common area to have more than a couple of friends over and the laundry facilities are across the building in the commons. To cook we had to get out of our building and go into the side, to another entrance and upstairs to the closes community kitchen. - 2 years ago

    Weaver Hall

    based on 3 reviews

One of the nicer dorms you can find on campus. I actually really enjoyed staying in Weaver my freshman year. It’s right by one of the dining halls and Reitz so it’s super convenient if you have a meal plan. The walking distance to most of campus can seem like a lot but I’m someone who really doesn’t enjoy walking and once the weather became cold, I was constantly walking to my classes since the weather was so nice. During the hotter months, I would take a bus. I was lucky and barely had any noise problems except for my neighbors playing music sometimes, but turning on any white noise always drowned them out. Laundry was also easy since there’s an elevator, although there was one time that it was broken and I had to haul my laundry up four flights of stairs. Overall, I would live here again, but I switched to an off campus apartment because I wanted my own kitchen. There are kitchens in Weaver, but they’re shared by the floor. - 4 years ago

    Cypress Hall

    based on 3 reviews

This building is extremely nice. There is so much more space in the room and in the closet than I expected. The shared bathroom is nice to have and the shower works great. You have a sink in your room so it’s very convenient. The building is on the lower east side of the campus, but it is in a great location for freshman. It’s right across from sorority row and the dining hall. There is also some parking nearby which is very lucky. There is no mold or bug problems and the air conditioning is great. Definitely recommend - 4 years ago
