Is Cochrane Hall the best dorm at Virginia Tech?
Students rated Cochrane Hall a 3.5/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
Cochrane is a suite style dorm, which is very nice. Unfortunately there was no A/C but eventually that isn’t a problem once it cools off. Having a common room makes having friends over easier, but don’t let it get to the point where people are always at your place.
The building is really close to athletics and the student gym, also connected to a dining hall, but it is far from most academic buildings. The rooms are a decent size and it was nice to have a common room, but its suite style and having 8 people living together can start some drama. Its no longer a sports dorm and just for normal people now. Also THERE IS AC! It was nice to feel sort of like I had a little apartment, especially if you decorate it cute. Be warned the laundry is only on the first floor and the halls are co-ed while suites are gender specific. I made a ton of friends and loved living there especially because food was right downstairs. Live laugh love Cochrane.
