Is Martha Cook Building the best dorm at UMich?
Students rated Martha Cook Building a 4.3/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
I lived here for 3 years. For those who may be more shy and introverted, this is an easy way to make friends based on the fact that it's a small dorm and there is a real sense of community. There is a ton of within-dorm traditions and activities that you can partake in (or not, I didn't do a ton of stuff through the dorm). The building itself is old but beautiful and depending on if you stay for more than one year, you can get a really large double or single. The dining hall is only for residents and I never got bored with the options. The bathrooms are fine, there are several kitchenettes on each floor, a hang out space in the basement with TV, piano etc, and two large living spaces. However, the best thing is the LOCATION. I would roll out of bed 10 minutes before class and be in Angell Hall on time. Close to Law Library, Union, Ross, and the walk to the Big House is very short.
