Best University of Michigan dorms

East Quad

"It's probably one of the best dorms out here. I think the food isn't the best but the location is perfect and it's clean. If you're in Ross then it's right next door. The only issue is there isn't a kitchen so it would be hard to cook on your own if you didn't buy a dining hall pass.
p.s. I came from Jed's vid ;)" - 3 years agoWe collected 7 dorm reviews for East Quad

South Quad
based on 6 reviews
"Amenities based, its hard to beat 7th Huber. It is located above the main entrance making it a daily convenience and it has a two common rooms on this floor (none on six or eight). Overall 3.75/5. You might want to have a single in this building because the building contains 1800+ students and you can get overwhelmed very quickly that number of people. Brand new dining hall is cool, but since 1800 people live in the building, the best food goes quick. Location is only second to West quad. But it feels like the center of the campus universe. You will look back and enjoy the days you call south quad home." - 4 years ago

"The dorm overall is in my opinion the best freshman dorm. You have to walk to South Quad for meals but the building itself is really nice with updated bathrooms, dorms and community spaces. Being connected to the Union is also very convenient (especially when it's cold). My room looked towards the Union and below was where the garbage trucks emptying dumpsters so the view and location were not great, and the dorm sizes vary depending on which hall you are in. I would not have wanted to be in any other dorm for freshman year." - 1 year ago

Alice Lloyd Hall
based on 4 reviews
"Alice Lloyd has it all. The location is not too far from anywhere, the Hill is the *perfect* atmosphere to live in, and everyone says "Oh wow I wish I lived there" anytime it comes up.
This may be because I got lucky with a larger-than-average room for Alice and my friends got unlucky with a smaller-than-average room for Mojo, but my room is legitimately twice as large. That's not an exaggeration lol." - 1 year agoWe collected 4 dorm reviews for Alice Lloyd Hall

North Quad

"This is my first year on campus and NQ is definitely one of the best buildings. I have a single which is very spacious and I share a bathroom with 2 others that is key-carded so only we can get in. Every dorm has AC, a window, hardwood floors, and modular furniture. The bathroom has two sinks and then the toilet and shower are together behind another door that is lockable. The layout is great because it means your roommates can go brush their teeth and get ready without you having to worry about them seeing you in the shower or whatever. Also, the shower pressure and internet are both very good. NQ is a great dorm and I can’t imagine living anywhere else for my first year here." - 1 year ago
