Yes, we are far from main campus, but there are many shuttles, and I personally liked that practically no one was in our living area except ERC kids. The triples are actually more spacious that you think, and they all get a nice view to the ocean. The common areas are HUGE and perfect to hang out, party, chill or simply spend an evening doing homework. The restrooms are definitely the best out of all the other colleges, although they sometimes smell odd. Big windows everywhere. The walls and ceilings are VERY THIN, you can hear a normal conversation from upstairs if you are on the top bunk, so i definitely recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. The ERC dorm suites are supposed to be way larger than the other colleges (not 100% sure about this, my only experience is with ERC). I personally found the rooms to be spacious and very liveable, and I really enjoyed my stay in the first year suite. The bathrooms were fine. Cafe V, the closest dining hall, had somewhat variable food quality based on the day's menu, but for the most part it tended to be much emptier than other dining halls so time was usually a much lower issue. ERC is somewhat far from other parts of campus, especially Revelle, but I found that I could walk to pretty much any part of campus from my dorm in about 10-15 minutes.
