"The rooms are all doubles or singles, and feel shockingly more spacious than you would think. Location-wise you are right next to the market and other places like Trader Joe's and Rite-Aid. The noise is fine almost always except for on weekends when baseball games are played across the street and you can't really sleep in (if you sleep in until noon). The biggest problem is the bathrooms. Some of the stalls are uncomfortably cramped and if someone starts throwing their food out there ants will come. Fortunately it gets cleaned every day but it can get annoying." See all 7 reviews

"I lived really close to the stairs, and right across the hall from the gender neutral bathroom.
    Pros:
-having a double gave me a lot of space
-right next to bathroom, so was super easy to go back and forth when showering, and just more convenient in general
-I was next to the stairs, so for more social people it was easy to meet everyone since people need to pass by your room all the time
-your key card gives you access to Wall Main, which is a popular study lounge for many students, and especially useful if completing pledging projects. Also has a kitchen.
-right next to parking lot so easy to move in and out, plus easy for ubers

    Cons
-my floor had two RAs, which I felt was unnecessary, especially since one was strict
-people will ask you to let them into wall main
-located in the southern-most part of campus, so sometimes inconvenient to go to and from class or visit other dorms

    Other
-mostly bio/premed majors, so lots of studying was done in the lounges
-4th floor is all girls" See all 3 reviews

"A very convenient location. It is located on the campus right next to Segundo dorms. It is quiet. Only thing is that the fan in the bathroom is so loud. It is not the most modern apartment but it gets the job done. I would say that this is the best transfer housing but people are not very social here. " See all 3 reviews

"Scrub oak is a relatively new building in the tercero area. Well maintained and clean. Good location close to dining halls. Rooms are kind of small though. Communal kitchen downstairs. Lots of study and social areas. There is 1 private bathroom on the first floor." See all 4 reviews

"Currant is great. Lived in a single and got a nice little space for myself. I'm a notororiously picky sleeper, but with a foam mattress pad from home my bed was comfortable. Bathrooms are frequent throughout the floor so if you have to pee in the middle of the night like me, you don't need to fear. The building is nice, but the lounge can get a little small if lots of friend groups in your floor like it. Putting the two couches facing each other and touching is a nice way to make a fort, if the lounge is empty. My friend said it's a great place to nap. Sometimes the RAs steal the vacuum but it all depends who you get. Also don't forget your card or else you'll be locked out and have to go down to the service center (outside the building, 2 min walk) to get it. Park your bike on the North side behind the building (not by the main entrance) for max campus access.

Bathrooms are very well cleaned and generally stocked, but I docked a star for my bathroom (2F, east, women's by room 207) having really bad hot water in the big shower (ALWAYS USE THE SMALL SHOWER) and the fact that the motion activated lights were very finicky and sometimes turned off mid-shower. If you jump around and wave your arms like a psycho before going in you should be good, but the sensor has to be activated in a super precise way so sometimes all the jumping jacks in the world won't get it." "Loved living in Madrone. I was worried about having to live in a triple, but I found that I had more than enough space. The lounges are nice, especially the study room on the bottom floor, and I like the vending machine on the bottom floor (I get hungry at odd hours). The bathrooms were almost always clean, custodial did a great job, and I didn't often find myself having to wait to shower. Overall, the building is very well maintained." See all 3 reviews

"Loved living in Campbell, right across the street from the cows which I thought I was going to hate because of the smell but honestly miss being able to pet them when I'm stressed out. Does not have a kitchen and some rooms have thermostats to control AC but most don't, the others that don't have central heating/cooling so you won't be burning in Davis heat or freezing during the rainy season. New building so the lounge area is really nice and lots of natural light" See all 1 review

    Cottonwood Hall at UC Davis

"As one of the newest dorms on campus, Cottonwood Hall is a great place to live. The rooms are relatively big, the lounges have big glass windows for natural light, and the showers are spacious. The AC/heater works well and internet connection was great (at least in my room). It's also at a super convenient location since it's right across from the dining commons and also close to the visitor parking lot. The only complaints are that it is a bit far from the ARC compared to Segundo halls and the smell of the cows can be a bit strong sometimes." See all 2 reviews

"Redwood Hall is the best dorm and has the best view. The 4th floor lounge has large windows for stunning natural lighting. The shorter wing and center of the building has a view of the gorgeous redwood trees behind the building. Redwood is super new and the bathrooms are always clean (thank you custodians!). Anyone I bring into my room wishes they were in Redwood instead. The location is perfect for biking to class and is very quiet. All the rooms and furniture in rooms and common areas are new and there aren't weird smells or dim lights like in the older dorms like Laben or Kearney. It is near Latitude as well (restaurant opened in 2020 that focuses on international cuisine and accepts swipes + Aggie cash). Redwood, Cottonwood, and Madrone (CMR) residentss have access to Olive Hall, a structure that has a beautiful kitchen and lounge area. CMR residents also have access to the game room in Cottonwood (Xbox, table tennis, music room)." See all 3 reviews
