alder's location is very good in regards to resources as it is basically a 5-10 min. walk to campus compared to tercero and cuarto dorms. it is also right in front of rite aide and the gas station while trader joes is a 4 min walk away. im currently in a corner room, and compared to all my friends its one of the most spacious dorms and is not cramped at all. so if you are big on space try aiming for a corner room if you can. socially wise, a majority of your friends will probably be in the tercero dorms which at times can suck having to hike across campus but you are also right by the arc which is nice.

The dorm itself was expensive but being in a single room was well worth it. I thought I would enjoy the "Sharing a dorm" experience but sadly after a month, I realized I needed my own space. This review will be biased because of how I prefer single dorm but the dorm itself was well worth it. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a change in living on campus or wanting to start!

My double room is fairly big and roomy, a lot more than I had expected. My main negative is the distance from the rest of campus it is—I didn't own a bike so all my classes were at least twenty minutes of walking from my dorm. The laundry room only has four units of washing/dryer for the entire building, so you'd have to wait a long time often to even have access to one, usually. The first floor common room has a TV and a piano that are available for anyone to use. The floor restrooms are not in the best conditions but they aren't dirty or unsanitary by any stretch of the imagination, just worn down, etc. There's a single elevator that's pretty small and slow but is right next to the laundry room.
