I would say Shasta is by far one of the better dorms to live in as it’s the newest one built and offers students their own bathrooms, which was definitely a big deal for me. Not having to share a bathroom with the whole hall was amazing and they even send someone in to clean it for you once a week! Rooms were bigger than I expected and you have a thermostat to control the temperature. The common spaces are clean and modern and there are three lounges per floor for you to study or hang out in. The location is a little inconvenient as it’s farther from campus but it’s really not so bad if you have a bike (>10 min ride) and it’s across the street from the Trader Joe’s which is nice. Also super close to Oxford Park so you can get out in nature ...

I really liked living in Shasta :) All suites are minimum 6 people (two triples) and max 9 people (three triples) but have private restrooms. Technically considered “off-campus” but still close to school and next to trader joe’s/ uni mall. DC is okay… 7/10.

pros: private bathroom for each suite, big rooms, newer than other dorms, next to trader joes

cons: off campus
