The common room is very spacious. It's definitely great for activities, BUT the same can't be said about the bedrooms. I was in the Rocky side of Campbell so we did not have direct access to laundry. I usually do my laundry in Joline. The bathroom is also in the basement which is not so great. No clean water filters as well. The only redeeming factor about living here is that it is close to Nassau St. and the U-Store, but other than that...
Living in Campbell is made out to be worse than it actually is. Yes, the common room has little room for anything other than your desks. Yes, the bathroom is shared by the whole building and always involves stairs, but the location is unbeatable and the rooms can be debunked.
Campbell hall was certainly an interesting place to live. Although I didn't think the dorms themselves were horrible, seeing how other dorms in other res colleges such as Forbes were much larger and more comfortable, Campbell seemed like the worst of the worst. The one thing that I wish people told me before moving into Campbell hall was the story of the Campbell crapper (a guy who basically took a dump on the water fountain - please never use this fountain, it's not filtered - and he supposedly did it in the showers and on the hallway floor). Another unfortunate circumstance with Campbell is that it has no AC (the first weeks in August/September SUCK, we used 4 box fans, one for each quad mate).
