West Village F Reviews

Northeastern University

Reviews Summary

West Village F is a modern and relatively new dorm that offers spacious apartments typically configured with three doubles and two bathrooms. Some units, like the handicapped-accessible ones, are larger, providing extra space, particularly appealing for groups of six. The apartments feature full-size living rooms and kitchens, a big plus for students seeking a homely environment. Each unit has large windows, though those facing Willis Hall suffer from limited natural sunlight, resulting in darker living spaces. The building is well-situated, positioned conveniently near Parker Street and Centennial, offering easy access to campus landmarks and just a five-minute walk to various parts of campus. However, the building's walls are reportedly thin, impacting privacy. Amenities include air conditioning, heating, laundry and study rooms on alternating floors, enhancing comfort and convenience. A downside noted in summer is the occasional presence of mice, but overall, West Village F stands out for its location and design, making it a desirable residence choice despite the relatively higher cost.

I live in a 6 person apartment, with 3 doubles and 2 bathrooms. I also live in a handicapped accessible apartment, so it is a lot bigger and longer than the average apartment in WVF. The apartment faces WIllis hall, meaning I get little natural light. It's in an amazing part of campus, right next to Parker St, which leads to Mission Hills, and it's also right next to Centennial. It sucks a bit when it's cold, but the tunnels lead right up to Forsyth hall so I don't walk too long outside.

There were 4 people to our suite, with 1 double and 2 singles. The place was great other than the mouse problem in the summer.

Overall a great place to live. Pros: it's a full apartment so you get a full-size living room, kitchen, bathrooms, etc, GIANT windows, AC & heating, laundry on every other floor, study rooms on every other floor. Spaces are a good size and plenty of space for storage. Also, it's a fantastic location on campus, literally a 5-minute walk to anywhere on campus. Cons: walls are paper thin!!!, my personal apartment was facing Willis (back of the building) so we never got any direct sunlight and the areas were always dark, no community feel within the building.

All the apartments are 3 doubles with 2 bathrooms. Relatively new building, and rather nice apartments overall. A little out of the way when it comes to getting to classes.

Room was one of three doubles within the suite. We shared a kitchen, living room with dining table adjacent, and 2 bathrooms. One of the more expensive options on campus but also one of the nicer buildings and rooms at this price-point.
