    Light Hall

    based on 5 reviews

    Light Hall at Northeastern

Loved living in Light Hall! Literally the best LLCs and the charm of the dorm is so different than the standard hospital-feel type room. The basement has pool and a TV and we had stained glass windows in our room! Also, pavement coffee and Whole Foods are super close :) - 4 years ago

    West Village A

    based on 9 reviews

Was an RA in WVA my second year. Had a single on the corner of the building so I got a living room with all windows looking into West Village Quad. AC was existent but would be very wonky. Would either be blowing out for a few minutes and make the room really cold or would be shut off for a few minutes and make the room hot again. Location is generally really good. If you’re CAMD you’ll be walking very short distances to get to classes. Only downside to location was the distance from dining halls. If you’re on meal plan or want to eat at/nearby dining halls, WVA is the farthest place from them on campus. The entrance to WVA South is also in a weird spot. You’ll have to walk around a bunch of buildings to get to it. - 4 years ago

    Willis Hall

    based on 14 reviews

    Willis Hall at Northeastern

I would argue that Willis is the best dorm at Northeastern. It's not as expensive as WV and the only major differences are lack of AC (in most of the building) and the fact that it's an older building. The bedrooms and common areas are huge and the kitchen has a lot of counter space and a dishwasher. In the basement, there's a common room with a TV and a lot of on-site laundry. Overall, the location of Willis is amazing (it's close to everything) and it's a really spacious dorm with a lot of amenities. - 4 years ago

    144 Hemenway St

    based on 1 review

The dorm is an apartment/Leased Property. Technically on campus housing but ‘off campus’ through the university. No proctor, you swipe in with your ID. (Which is good for getting packages). Good size living room & kitchen w/ pantry. Living room has a lot of light! Kitchen is regular size with an oven/stove/microwave + regular fridge. One bathroom. The bedrooms are regular size, a little bigger than freshman but nothing crazy. If 2 singles, 1 of the singles is a bit skinner than the other. If 2 doubles, the bigger ‘single’ is a double. Laundry + Trash is in the basement- with only 2 sets of washers/dryers that take huskyID (you pay for the others). Usually a double & 2 singles. building looks old but the insides are nicely Renovated & a really good value!! Would recommend as a non-dorm feeling! Only 5 apartments in the building. - 3 years ago

    West Village H

    based on 1 review

Hands down the best dorm on campus, especially if you can snag a room on the all-glass side of the building. Views are incredible and apartments come with all the standard enhanced-dorm fare: AC, fairly new appliances, great clean bathrooms, furnished living room, etc.

One downside was the heating couldn't really keep up with the heat loss from the huge windows in the winter, especially at night, and the apartment could get pretty chilly. The furnishings were a little old, as with any dorm, but clean enough and easily serviced with a work request if anything was wrong. Aside from that, definitely recommend living here if you're lucky enough to get a good lottery number! - 4 years ago

    West Village G

    based on 6 reviews

    West Village G at Northeastern

Overall great dorm, large kitchen with decent appliances (disposal, dishwasher, large refrigerator), large floor to ceiling windows (not much of a view), and it's also right on campus so very convenient for your commutes. Building is well maintained and clean. I heard of people seeing mice in their rooms but I personally did not experience this, just keep your apartment clean I guess. - 4 years ago

    West Village F

    based on 5 reviews

I live in a 6 person apartment, with 3 doubles and 2 bathrooms. I also live in a handicapped accessible apartment, so it is a lot bigger and longer than the average apartment in WVF. The apartment faces WIllis hall, meaning I get little natural light. It's in an amazing part of campus, right next to Parker St, which leads to Mission Hills, and it's also right next to Centennial. It sucks a bit when it's cold, but the tunnels lead right up to Forsyth hall so I don't walk too long outside. - 2 years ago

    West Village B

    based on 3 reviews

I absolutely LOVED living here. Being in the West Village Quad was a nice "on campus" feel, which is hard to find because some of the housing at Northeastern is farther out. It is all apartment-style (to my knowledge) which was great for me because I hate the dining halls and love to cook my own food. I was in an apartment with two double bedrooms, common area, kitchen, and bathroom. My bedroom was very nice even with a roommate, and the closets have lots of space. I was close to classes, close to Marino, and very grateful to live there. - 4 years ago

    1065 Tremont

    based on 1 review

The absolute best place to live on campus. I lived in a two-bedroom apartment with one other person and it was luxurious, but it is also the most expensive place to live on campus. Private bathroom, private room, updated appliances, fantastic heating/cooling, no proctors. 6th-floor rooms have balconies with the doorknobs taken off, but the wind has blown them open several times. There is also a weird tendency for power outages that you should be aware of but typically aren't a problem. You have to buy your own internet which costs around $50 a month divided by the people you live with. Northeastern does give you a $100 credit for the semester for wifi, Laundry is outrageously expensive in the building with a wash and dry coming out to $8. You will have a fantastic semester here, it will just cost you an arm and a leg if you do not have housing scholarship/aid - 2 years ago
