Stetson East Reviews
Northeastern University
Reviews Summary
Stetson East is a quintessential freshman dorm known for its prime location and a strong sense of community. Situated conveniently close to various campus amenities such as Outtakes, Wollaston's, Marino gym, and even the main dining hall, it provides unparalleled proximity to essential student resources. While the rooms are notably small and sometimes require creative furniture arrangements, such as placing a desk inside the closet, students quickly adapt. The dorm's common areas and communal bathrooms are highlights, with the latter being well-maintained and cleaned twice daily. Every other floor features a common room or private study room, fostering social interactions and providing quiet study spaces. The in-house dining hall, open from 7 am to 11 pm, adds significant convenience, especially during inclement weather. Though lacking air conditioning and water fountains, the dorm remains comfortable with Boston's cool autumn and winter air. Stetson East is known for a lively atmosphere, but not overwhelmingly so, leaving students with cherished memories and a fondness for their freshman year experience.

I was in a corner unit. One of our desks had to be inside the closet. So we really only had one closet space to hang clothes. Also, the building always smelled like weed.

Wasn't bad, wasn't great. Proximity to other freshmen is great and helps foster a real sense of community. Although there's no AC, you don't really need it after mid-September because Boston fall/winter air helps keep the temperature nice and cool.

Rooms are small, as expected. The common bathrooms were really nice and the common area was a good place to meet people. Super close to Outtakes, Wollastons, and Marino which is really nice.

Steast was a very traditional freshman dorm. It is by no means the best looking. I would often joke the inside resembles a prison. The rooms were small but that's easy to get used to. Most rooms are doubles, with a few singles. Bathrooms are communal but well cleaned. The even floors have common rooms which helped me get to know the people on my floor and where I had many strange late night chats. The odd floors have private study rooms which are a great resource when living with a roommate.
Steast has an excellent location. The in-house dining hall was super handy, even as much as I complained about the food. One of the three main dining halls on campus is right next door, as well as Outtakes and Wollaston's which are great for late-nigh...

Rooms are small as hell but that’s to be expected, you get over it. common room on every other floor. SUPER chill to have the dining hall right downstairs. And tbh the reason I recommend stetson is that it has nicer bathrooms than the other dorms.

Super basic freshman dorm, decent sized rooms that were big enough for two beds, two desks, and a fridge/microwave. The dining hall downstairs was convenient (dining hall open from 7 am - 11 pm, best timing of all the dining halls). Bathrooms were cleaned twice daily, and work orders for broken shower heads were fixed within twelve hours. Stetson East is a perfect location - opposite mail room, next to Huntington Ave restaurants, and a short walk from Fenway. Only issue is that there is no water fountain in the building but you get used to going to Speare for water.

Small room, but expected when you're a freshman. Having a dining hall in the building is nice when the weather sucks. Bathrooms are good, water pressure is great. Small room.
